~ Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against His Anointed ~ Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth. . . Psalm 2:1-2; Psalm 46:10
Dear LORD GOD, we come before YOUR SOVEREIGN GLORY, asking for YOUR AMAZING GRACE and GREAT MERCY to cover our beloved heroes. Dear LORD, in the midst of every battle field that rages against them, teach them, guide them into the STILLNESS of the GRACE and KNOWLEDGE, in FULL MEASURE, of our LORD, SAVIOR AND KING, JESUS CHRIST. Remind them, that YOU ARE LORD OF ALL THE EARTH, that YOU are the COMMANDER of the ARMIES of HEAVEN, and that YOU SIT as KING even before the foundation of the EARTH was AMEN.
Dear LORD, we look to this verse and shout out to the raging nations: BE STILL. There is ONE that will come with vengeance and justice and until then HE OFFERS MERCY and GRACE to every man and women who will call UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD and be SAVED. So we pray for Peace to enter into the hearts of as many as possible among all nations. Nothing is impossible with GOD. And LORD, as we think on YOUR PEACE, we speak comfort to JERUSALEM, as we pray for HER PEACE. We ask our own leaders to return in quietness and confidence knowing that YOU ARE a rewarder of all that seek YOU. Thank YOU LORD GOD, that we have been given this most precious gift: KNOWING YOU, LOVING YOU, SERVING YOU, PRAISING YOU, GLORIFYING YOU, and being forever with YOU. AMEN.
The New England Primer was published in the late 1600s. Throughout the colonies that would later become the United States, the book became a widely used resource.
This early American textbook was based largely on the Bible, and it used pictures and rhymes based on Scripture to help children learn to read. It also included prayers like this one: Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord, my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.
In Colonial America, this became a way that one generation was able to pass along their faith to the next generation. It fit well with what God wanted of His people, the ancient Israelites, as recorded in Deuteronomy 6:6-7, These words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach [Gods commandments] diligently to your children, and shall talk of them . . . when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
As we talk about who God is, what He has done for us, and how He desires our love and obedience, our lives can become primers to the next generation. We can be teaching tools that God will use to help people in their walk with Him.
He who sits on the Throne
Shall hold them in derision
He’ll speak to them in His Wrath
Distress them in His displeasure
Lo...I have set My King
On the Holy Hill
of Zion.
Yes...I have set My King
On the Holy Hill
of Zion.
(from a rock musical setting of Psalm 2 by LTOS)

This call for peace is so timely in face of the release of a Senate CIA report which is feared to incite violence.
