LoL, discussing an article of faith exposited in the Scripture by St Peter no less. Yeah, you can go with Francis. I’ll stick with Peter, his inspiration by the Holy Spirit is irrefutable.

I'm not a Catholic but I think it's so interesting that so many Freepers seem to dislike him. I only know about him from the news. He seems like a nice old man, that's all.

As a Catholic, Pope Francis likely interprets 2 Peter 3:10-11 metaphorically or allegorically, inasmuch as Catholicism rejects fundamentalism/consistent Biblical literalism.
