Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
Persia was a Mighty Empire that encompassed thousands of square miles. The King was an absolute Monarch, but his realm was divided up into provinces ruled by Satraps. The satraps answered to the King, and although powerful, were subject to him.
We have individual States ruled by individual Governors, but they are not directly responsible to the President of the USA(Thank Goodness!) Each Governor is elected by the People of his or her State and must answer to THEM.
In today's parlance, a "Satrap" is more likely to be a person in a ceremonial position which gets plenty of pomp and flattery, but little or no power. It is a somewhat derogatory term for a bureaucrat!
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.
Hallelujah and Amen
