And he (Francis) places severe and continual blame on Christians in general, whom he depicts as full of defects. But there are those very Christians whom he, as a pastor, should defend and comfort: those same Christians who in so many places in the world are undergoing persecution, martyrdom and hatred under every power and ideology.

The no-global* drift together with the disastrous attempt at the Synod to change Church praxis and, in effect, Church doctrine (which will be completed at the next Synod), and with a governance of the Church consisting of defenestrations and “purges” of those who are faithful to Catholic Tradition, place the Church today in a tragic situation. It is not only about persecutions. There is darkness in Rome.

As a Catholic, I have some grave concerns about Francis’ leadership..

This pope is not a Catholic. I believe he is Satan, since he is not speaking out on violence and allowing gays as church members...

Is he hoping (and did the Koran kissing John Paul before him hope) that somehow these Muslims will “see the light” and become Roman Catholics too? Because both are “moral faiths”?

I’d be tickled to see them become any kind of Christian, frankly, but it looks like with few exceptions it is an exercise in swineward pearl casting.

The Pope was not only reticent, but when he was approached directly about this on the flight returning from Korea he wanted to emphasize that force and bombings should not be used to defend those defenseless people who were threatened by massacre at the hand of criminals.

If it is not OK to use force to defend the innocent from thugs, then the Pope should dismiss all the Swiss Guards.

Maybe if the Muslims were slaughtering gays, Francis would speak up. I suspect he is a closet case himself.

I’m pretty sure they must be, somewhere.

What do you expect? The pope during WWII maintained a neutral stance. What Christian who wants to emulate (or at least look to someone as a leader) Christ could follow such dopes?

Pope Pius XII during World War II was was at the center of a network which saved 800,000 Jews' lives --- more than any other religion, political party, church, university, labor union, business or professional group, philanthropic or humanitarian organization, including the Red Cross. So reports Pinchas Lepide, Jewish historian.

Did he "speak out"? Did Oskar Schindler "speak out"? You don't orate with a microphone from your balcony when you've got hunted families crouching in your kitchen.

Francis is preppin’ the way for a Global One World Religion that is acceptable to all except the most dogmatic followers of Christ.

It’s exactly why muzzie persecution of Christians gets ZERO headlines anywhere. It’s also why Joel Osteen and Rick Warren seem to share so many of the same beliefs that this Pontifex Maximus has.

You jest, as some pretty significant eschatological events have to happen, and a personal Christ can’t be faked.

He encourages Muslims in their beliefs.

"While visiting with a group of refugees at the Sacred Heart parish in Rome on Sunday, Pope Francis said:

“Sharing our experience in carrying that cross, to expel the illness within our hearts, which embitters our life: it is important that you do this in your meetings. Those that are Christian, with the Bible, and those that are Muslim, with the Quran. The faith that your parents instilled in you will always help you move on.”"

Name one?
And are we personalizing Christ now?

This sounds like some weird eschatology, like Islam is only Christianity hankering to come out of some closet.

No it ain’t. One interesting fact about Islam is that it never uses the term “grace.”

Like a rapture.

And we had BETTER personalize Christ. That or go to hell.
