Heavenly Father –

As we celebrate Veterans Day, may we honor all those who put themselves in harm’s way to serve others and secure our freedoms. Likewise, at the cusp of World War II, God Bless America was reintroduced to the nation as a solemn prayer when our way of life and freedoms were in grave danger.

Grant us, Lord, a heart of repentance and cleanse us from our sins. Fit us to receive Your blessings, especially the spiritual blessings from heaven. We pray for revival and healing in our land. And as Kate Smith sang this prayer – God bless America!
