God bless Pope Francis. These are difficult times.
THAT would be a good thing.
I am confused. Why is Elton John so thrilled with the pope at the moment?

Because he reads....and believes....the secular media.
The Pope says what he says.
THEN the media parse it out the way THEY want to, in dribs and drabs, broken up and seemingly disjointed. The mainstream media have always loathed showed disdain for the Church leaders AND Evangelicals. (My experience and opinion only.)
He wouldn't have arisen to his position as head of the world-wide Catholic Church unless he were a holy, clear-headed, absolutely brilliant thinker and complete communicator.
He probably speaks several languages too, thus adding to his communication abilities.

pope finally gets one in the win category.
Too late, already has
Satan is real. Evil exists. One just has to look at people who cut off heads of other people to see Satan’s evil servants. The religion that teaches beheadings is evil, and that religion serves Satan.
Hmm. The devil must be a creationist.
Resist not fight
satan has no power over except whatvwe give him
Yes resist.
>>Resist not fight
Yeah, OK. I’d make that fine distinction if we didn’t get the Sword of the Spirit to go along with that armor.
Nice to hear the Pope say this. Needs to be said. Great.
ROTFLMAO
Do you have any idea what you just said?
Lets do this, this pope is so wrong on so many things it is becoming boring...its as though he has never seen a Bible.
Please do not say, “lost in translation”.
We as Christians we are to resist the devil, God will fight Him.
satan has zero power over ua except what we give him.
That was my first thought, then I read the article. The Pope got it right, despite the unfortunate sentence satin to fight Satan - He tells us to use the Biblical Armor of God to resist Satan's temptations. What we are actually fighting is our own Human frailty.
God doesn’t have to fight Satan. When the time comes, God will chain him and then destroy him. I’m just saying that we can resist (a defensive action) and we can also fight (an offensive action) through the power of the Holy Spirit (who is God BTW).
And I agree with you about the pope being wrong on many things. I clearly stated in my first post in this thread that I am a Protestant (Presbyterian to be precise).
