The reply should be,
“I am a Christian and I greet you in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!”
>>I am a Christian and I greet you in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
They expect that. But, they have a very well-prepared argument against the Trinity, faith-based salvation, and grace. A Christian needs to be well-versed on these three subjects and on the differences between the Jesus of the bible and the Jesus of the Koran.
Most Christians are not prepared for this. Even in bible study classes, it is hard to get people to really dig into these subjects. They’ll say, “Well, Jesus loves me and that’s all I need to know.”
That’s great for a 6 year old, but really sad for an adult.
Then, they say that “I’m glad that you like studying this stuff, but its just too deep for me.”
The muslim proselytizer is ready for those people. I had one try it on me a couple months ago. I carry a copy of the Bible and Westminster Catechism on my iPad,so we had a nice conversation and he wound up declaring me to be too stubborn.
AMEN.
