In my personal opinion, this new "fad" will not necessarily "keep" normal men "away." Rather, what we will see (or, rather, not see) is a form of "inner emigration." I.e., men will continue standing in the pews, but will shrug their shoulders and mutter to themselves "Not this cr*p again!"

Further, I take issue with ascribing fear of effeminancy to normal men. Rather, I would say that normal men - if they care to scrutinize such things at all - are instead repulsed or sickened - but not in "fear" of appearing "effeminate."

However, I may be reading this article wrong - apologies in advance if I am guilty of doing so.

I can’t help but to wonder if the Pope did not realize that the sexual abuse of boys was committed by homo or bi priests and was caused by the church leaders not going after the homo ranks to protect boys. Their “tolerance” of homos was tolerance of the sexual molestation of boys.
