I am a Catholic, but I do not worship the Pope, even Pope Francis. I worship God, and he is not a God of surprises, he sent Jesus so we can know Him, and he gave us the Bible. It is clear who God is, and he isn’t going to jump out at us and yell “boo!” He isn’t going to change His mind about gay marriage. And I am through defending PopeFr concerning his frequent ill advised comments. The Pope needs to man up and teach the truth.

I think some lapsed Catholics never "lost" their faith. They never had it. Not everyone immersed in a religion from birth embraces it as an adult.
