Pope Francis, Barack Obama & The Rise of the Beta Male

After Pope Francis published his Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, which, in part, attempted to highlight the concern that the rich should have for the poor and the marginalized, he became known in conservative circles as the Pope of the Redistribution of Wealth; to which, liberals would have preferred a more fun title – Pope of Economic Justice. Nevertheless, due to the Pope’s interest in governments and corporations sharing their booty he was compared to President Barack Obama.

Perhaps, to a very limited degree, Pope Francis and Barack Obama do have a common interest in economic justice, but what everyone has missed is the most unique and historic similarity that these two men share. For the first time in the history of the world, the leader of Christian in the world, and leader of the most powerful/influential government in the world are Beta Males.

Bishop James Malone of Youngstown was interviewed in the Philadelphia Catholic newspaper around 1986. He was asked whether, in view of the bishops’ support for civil disobedience in South Africa, he supported the pro-life rescue movement. His answer:

“The situations are not comparable. Church teaching allows for civil disobedience when there is an intolerable situation.”

Of course, more than one letter-writer in the next issue of the paper pointed out that Bishop Malone had logically implied that abortion is tolerable.

Bishops like Malone, of course, are completely unprincipled me. He didn’t answer the question based on a moral principle, even though he tried to pretend to be doing so. If he had spoken honestly, as his mind REALLY worked, his answer would have been:

“My leftist advisers tell me that we at the bishops’ conference do not support the pro-life rescue movement. So here’s an attempt to simulate a principled objection to the rescue movement: The situations are not comparable. Church teaching allows for civil disobedience when there is an intolerable situation.”

The great thing about the rescue movement was that it was shown that 1 in 5 women who missed an abortion appointment, whether a preliminary appointment or for the actual abortion itself, went on to have their child. Rescues SAVED lives.

Nope, (practically) no word limit.

So, post at least the first three pages.

Regards,

They certainly did save lives.

“They just come back the next day and have the abortion.” I couldn’t count how many times somebody said that to me. Of course, it was false. It was just something people wanted to believe.

For many years, I thought no bishop ever instructed the police it was a mortal sin to arrest rescuers. A FReeper told me recently that Bishop René Gracida did so.
