Father God, we are so grateful to be under the protection of your faithful covenant. It is no wonder that You ask us to keep our eyes on Your Word because Your promises are too wonderful for our natural minds to accept. Thank You for new minds in Christ Jesus!
As we have approached Your throne on behalf of the salvation of our citizens, with special heart cries for our military men and women, we thank You for Your promise to be merciful to our unrighteousness and to cause us to Know You—from the least of us to the greatest of us. Yes, we know that we have to choose to receive Your love on an individual basis. However, Your promise must include the outpouring of the revelation of Your gift of Jesus’ sacrifice for us in order for this promise to manifest. How our hearts yearn for this early and latter rain. By faith, we speak this Word from Heaven over our peoples. “God will put His laws in our minds and write them on our hearts; and He will be our God, and we shall be His people.” Hallelujah! Thank You for that sword of the Spirit!!
According to Your command, we pray for those in authority. We pray that they would come to the knowledge of the truth that there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. Give them wisdom and cause them to fulfill 2 Samuel 23’s definition of good leaders:
He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, A morning without clouds, Like the tender grass springing out of the earth, By clear shining after rain.’
Thank you for answering our prayers in Your great grace and mercy. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
