The Synod Will Be a Farce

Full Title: The Synod Will Be a Farce - if the Kasper Legion's Attempt to Muzzle It Goes According To Plan

Q: Was Pope Paul VI wrong not to listen to the majority of lay couples on the commission discussing contraception back in the 1960s?

A: I [Kasper] have a high esteem for Paul VI, he was a prophetic pope in a very difficult situation of the church after 1968 and so on. He was concerned to remain in the truth and not give up something, but I think it’s also a question of the interpretation of this encyclical Humanae Vitae because he was the first pope who spoke in ‘personalistic’ terminology about marriage – it was new! So in the light of this general approach we have to interpret what he said about contraception and so on, and I think what he said is true, but it’s not a casuistic we can deduce from it, it’s an ideal and we have to tell people, but then we have also to respect the conscience of the couples.

Papa Tango's golden boy is on a whirlwind tour up to the Synod. Communion for adulterers, contraception, homosexual unions.

But his master is not pulling in the leash; he's just giving him more and more lead.

Ann Barnhardt’s not anticipating a positive result from the Synod, either:

Satan is having a field day in Syria and Iraq, in Washington, and in the Vatican. The blood of Christians and Jews is flowing in rivers. Something big is happening.

What frightens me is this: Seeing what has happened to the Christians in Iraq and Syria—what will a JUST GOD permit to happen to the Christians of the United States?

I have some good ocean front property to sell you in Arizona.

How much did you pay for it? And what are you now asking?

I hope your expectations aren’t met; many expected Paul VI to change everything, and he disappointed them (and preserved the Church).

It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to see that liberalization would harm the Church; when Protestant denominations threw out some rules they were left with people who would acknowledge no rules.

See # 11; it doesn’t work that way.

My town is filled with empty Protestant churches built decades ago by people who feared Hell; their grandchildren and great-grandchildren have no such fear, and now those places will be bought by Hispanic evangelicals with very different theology. Lutherans, Methodists, Episcopalians - they relented on some basic issues, then couldn’t close Pandora’s box.

...and then the green light will be given to every Modernist and unwitting Modernist priest (which is most of them today – let’s be honest)

True that. Most of the Novus Ordo priests (as well as layfolk) are Modernist and they don't even know it. That's because they've been drinking the Vatican II Kool-Aid of false ecumenism, collegiality and religious liberty for far too long.

The hope is that Francis is helping them to see the light.

What I meant was: Have the Christians of Syria and Iraq murdered 58 million babies?

I am not surprised by the strong liberal leanings of the Pope. Francis defined himself as soon as he took power and closed ranks with the “liberation theology” leaders, a Marxist movement infiltrated in the Church since the 1960’s and proscribed by His Holiness John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Then Pope Francis began the ostracism of the Catholic conservatives who preferred the traditional Tridentine Mass used by centuries by loyal Catholics, and started persecuting those religious orders and seminaries that faithfully followed the Magisterium of the Church.
