The Pope is promoting interfaith soccer that includes Muzzies, Hindus, Buddhist, et al.

Now he is on the way to rolling back another tenant of Catholic life. Is there anything he won’t do to make Catholicism more relevant and worldly?

Place you bets on what else he’ll be undoing.

How do you Catholics feel about these changes?

Catholics can do what ever they like, but make no mistake, it`s not binding to God/Christ

NOTHING of basic import is going to change.
I've heard this all before.

The Church hasn't changed much in 2000 years. And, even if there will be changes coming, they won't happen in OUR lifetime and they will be superficial, like the need for men to UNCOVER their head in church and women to COVER their head in church.
European and North American Catholics couldn't eat meat on Fridays...that's gone. These are superficial.

There will be no changes in the bans on:

artificial birth control
abortion
divorce-remarriage. People CAN divorce. They just can't remarry.

These are NOT superficial.

The Pope is NOT God`s right hand man, he is not any closer to God than you or I

Anybody that spends time with God/Christ in prayer, praise, worship etc can have that close walk with The Lord.

It`s even possible that a person could rise to being Pope without actually ever being saved. I am not saying that`s the case here.

I dont know that all the Popes in history have been Christian. There are Priests and Nuns that dont really know Jesus.

There are liberal Churches from almost all “Christian” denominations that are really anti Christian

One Pope one day may say that sin is not sin, but the Bible is not going to be rewritten.

Throw out Catholicism and dust off the Bible is my advice.

and marrying people who have been married before

Which is done all the time, if the first marriage was not considered to have been valid; and that has NOTHING to do with whether or not the couple have children.

and couples who have been living together “in sin.”

Have people completely forgotten Jesus's teaching of repentance and forgiveness? Do you think these couples just walked in off the street and asked for the Pope to marry them? Of course not! Each of the couples would have had to go through Pre Cana preparation during which these matters would have been cleared up.

As for people getting all hot and bothered about the woman who had had a child out of wedlock, get over yourselves! The Church doesn't deny the Sacrament to women who have had children out of wedlock! Again, folks, you're forgetting the Pre Cana preparation, which includes the Sacrament of Penance.

Charity, people.

...”a reinterpretation of the Roman Catholic Church”....

Again...or maybe it’s just the continuation of that which is what it is.

I don’t think the links you posted are changes of any kind.

There’s no Canon law that forbids Roman Catholics from playing a game with non-Christians or even atheists.

As for marrying people ‘living in sin’ - I would hope that these people see the error of their ways, confess, repent, and get married. How is that a change? All Christians embrace those who have fallen away and returned.

Catholic views on divorce are complex. You can divorce civilly anytime you want - you just can’t remarry in the Church without an annulment. People may not like this requirement but those who obtain an annulment are free to marry - so no change for those folks.

The problem here is misunderstanding this marriage event. The people were all free to marry at that time - they were reconciled with the Church. No new thing had happened.

couples who have been living together “in sin.”

So long as neither of them is married to someone else, getting them properly married is a good idea.
