. . . for I know the one in whom I believe, and I am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return. 2 Timothy 1:12
Dear LORD, I know whom I believe I BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER, I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST YOUR SON, I BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT THE GIVER OF ALL LIFE and LORD, I have committed to YOU, myself, my Jacob, our Courtney, my prayers ..our prayers for this nation, and prayers for all those who serve in our Military. Dear LORD, in our sometimes wavering faith keep us convinced of YOUR GOODNESS AND POWER. In our times of fear, keep us assured of YOUR FAITHFULNESS to guard that which we lay before YOUR THRONE OF MERCY each day. And LORD, in our anxious thoughts, keep us watchful and ready for YOUR RETURN with the blessed HOPE that is only IN CHRIST AMEN.
Dear LORD, I pray for a mighty renewal in our nation. OH GOD, our founding fathers knew the one in whom they believed and entrusted our government to YOUR HOLY WORD for in this only were we guarded against all foes, domestic foreign and spiritual. Forgive us FATHER, for ever thinking we can make it on our own. FATHER, we kneel with THY PEOPLE ISRAEL, who have begun to call upon YOUR NAME. We thank YOU for lifting up a generation of Jewish Believers who KNOW YOU AS MESSIAH AND LORD and are speaking PRAISE AND PRAYERS on the MOUNTAIN of JERUSALEM AMEN. OH GOD give them THY VISION OF YOUR GREAT AND AWESOME RETURN to the GLORY OF YOUR NAME and the GOOD of the souls of all ISRAEL AMEN.
THANK YOU FATHER ~ that we can be here together ~ united in CHRIST ~ in LOVE ~ in FAITH ~ and in HOPE. FOR WE BELIEVE Amen.
Amen.
Read: Psalm 27:7-14
While traveling on an airplane with her 4- and 2-year-old daughters, a young mom worked at keeping them busy so they wouldnt disturb others. When the pilots voice came over the intercom for an announcement, Catherine, the younger girl, paused from her activities and put her head down. When the pilot finished, she whispered, Amen. Perhaps because there had been a recent natural disaster, she thought the pilot was praying.
Like that little girl, I want a heart that turns my thoughts toward prayer quickly. I think it would be fair to say that the psalmist David had that kind of heart. We get hints of that in Psalm 27 as he speaks of facing difficult foes (v.2). He said, Your face, Lord, I will seek (v.8). Some say that David was remembering the time he was fleeing from Saul (1 Sam. 21:10) or from his son Absalom (2 Sam. 15:13-14) when he wrote this psalm. Prayer and dependence on God were in the forefront of Davids thinking, and he found Him to be his sanctuary (Ps. 27:4-5).
We need a sanctuary as well. Perhaps reading or praying this psalm and others could help us to develop that closeness to our Father-God. As God becomes our sanctuary, well more readily turn our hearts toward Him in prayer.
Yes indeed...Amen and amen.

Beautiful post...please speak a word of prayer for a young man, Ryan, I talked with yesterday and encouraged to read the Psalms so that he could see a man’s heart and love for God. He’s searching.
