The Catholic church has never left the Dark ages....rather incorporated much of the paganism of that time until now.

However if Francis is shaking catholics loose from Rome, by what he’s doing, that’s a good thing...they may meet the Biblical Jesus along the way and be fully set free from their bondage to Rome.

I agree with you about it being a very dark age for the Church. But would you elaborate on the second part a little?

Francis is not my favorite Pope by any means, but he was validly elected. Where is an orthodox Catholic to go?
