Poor St. Patrick. Under his name debauchery has been cheerfully permitted to smear his parade celebration taking it into the pit.
This should be a diocesan celebration only, and not a compromise with the devil.
It has never been under the purview of the Diocese from what I understand. It has always been a private group in charge of the Parade. The Ancient Order of Hibernians wasn't part of the Diocese, and neither is the new group running the parade. It's a CULTURAL event, not a religious one.
