The Vatican’s chief representative at UN headquarters in Geneva has repeated the call of Pope Francis for international leaders to stop the persecution of Christians and Yezidis in Iraq, “though the mechanisms of the United Nations.”

Archbishop Silvano Tomasi told Vatican Radio that the Holy See has two objectives for its diplomatic efforts regarding the situation in Iraq: to seek international help to stop the violence against Christiand and Yezidis, and to provide international security for refugees returning to their native villages.

Questioned about Boko Haram terrorism in Nigeria, the archbishop said that the international community should “support the Nigerian government to fulfill its efforts to reject this group.”

No problem, let the UN recruit their own military and leave the U.S. out of it, because if we meet force with force, we will be condemned for it.

Are there any Left? I haven't heard squat about the Iraq situation in days. I just figured since Obama gave a speech the problem was solved!

That sure seems like... "international force?" well, like a military army, aka a Crusade.

That ought to make a few tens of thousands of the ISIS fanatics' heads explode!
Or more ominously, make many more scores of thousands of new victims' lose theirs.

What would ever possibly create the need for renewed Crusades?
What historically has always triggered them : Unspeakable atrocities and mindless animalistic behavior by whatever bred millions of two-legged animals!

All of it painstakingly documented in minute detail by the criminal "caliphs" themselves.*

I could say more, but it may be best to wait to see what develops. Suffice to say that all that is necessary for evil to triumph, if for good men to do nothing.

Calling on the UN to do something indicates to me that the Vatican is NOT serious about helping these people. The Vatican well knows that the UN will never do anything to help. Might as well call on the army of Lichtenstein for help.

If the Vatican was truly serious about this genocide, the pope would call out Catholics & Christians worldwide to join in a crusade to eradicate this evil.
