He sees more clarity than I do. The Pope himself keeps calling for calm and peace. All the other noise from the Vatican can be interpreted anyway anyone wants.

I see what you’re saying. This is similar to the teaching on the death penalty. Traditionally allowed, but nowadays the hierarchy teaches as if it is never allowed.
