Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

I have to admit, I was puzzled by this Passage. Insects have six legs, not four. Yet, they often use the front legs almost as hands, while continuing to WALK on the other four.

Whatever the reason for this discrepancy, the POINT of the message is quite clear. Don't eat Bugs!

The Grasshopper and its cousins are made differently than the rest of the insect world, with their large, powerful back legs that are jointed for hopping. Although I do not know the reason that these are considered "clean", they provided John the Baptist with Food in the desert over a thousand years later. Since everything in the Bible is connected, and God knows the End from the beginning, it is possible that God was providing for John's survival a millennium earlier with this decree.
