You are the Lord and besides You there is no Savior. You have declared [the future] and have saved [the nation in times of danger], and You have shown that You are God. We are Your witnesses that You are God. Yes, from the time of the first existence of day and from this day forth You are He; and there is no one who can deliver out of Your hand. You have said,"I will work, and who can hinder or reverse it?" (Is. 43:11-13) Sir, You have told us to put You in remembrance of our merits. Those of us here today declare that we are Your righteousness created in Christ Jesus. On the basis of His righteousness, we are here to plead and argue together, setting forth our case. (Is. 43:5,6)

From the beginning of time, You have shown Yourself to be deliverer and redeemer. On the basis of our standing with You through Jesus’ shed blood, we ask You for deliverance and redemption for our Nation. Heal us, Sir, we pray. Let Your Word have free course and complete its perfect work as You send forth laborers to spread it from shore to shore and wherever our citizens are serving us or our businesses.

We ask You today for Your blessing on our military men and women and the work they are doing. First of all, give wisdom to those leaders who are making decisions concerning the work the military is doing. We pray that they would be used as tools of Your hand and Your will alone in the work they do. Restore the physical and mental health of each one injured in our service by Your grace and compassion.

We love You, our God and thank You for this time at Your throne because of the Name and righteousness of our Savior, Jesus. Amen.

AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them.
