Either open or close ... period.
All I'M sayin' is ... except for the fact that I was child (although it must'a ran up to around the early sixties, 'cause I remember having to get gasoline on Saturday).. I didn't miss not being able to spend money on Sunday.
Neither did I, but I grew up in the era of the one-income family where mom could shop on a weekday afternoon. Between taxes, inflation and expectations most families need (or think they need) two incomes to get by, so the only time available to get anything done is the weekend.
