Do we remember God’s word saying ... ‘Satan is like a roaring lion looking for those he may devour?’ Pray, read the Scriptures regularly. Even a chapter a day. It is amazing what is learned. BE NOT DECEIVED!

God instructs us to read daily, when he was guiding the leaders of is Israel, he meant it for all Christian today. We are His chosen, and to Him we are the kings and the priests.
So it is incumbent upon us to always be immersed in the Word. If we cannot read much, we should, as you stated, read a minimum of at least one verse, for it is better than nothing.
