Pray for our American Heroes and Nation

We will extol You, our God, O king; and bless Your name for ever and ever. Every day will we bless You and we will praise Your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised and your greatness is unsearchable. We will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your terrible acts; and we will declare Your greatness.

It is of You that we will think for You are the Greater One, above all trials and tribulations. We pray today, knowing You are Good. We ask for a manifestation of Your Love for our military men and women and their leaders. We declare that You are good to all and Your tender mercies are over them. You are gracious and full of compassion; slow to anger and of great mercy. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power; to make known Your mighty acts and the glorious majesty of Your Kingdom. You will uphold all who fall and raise up all that are bowed down.

Our eyes wait upon You and You give us meat in due season. You are near unto us who call upon You in truth. You fulfill the desire of us because we fear You. You hear our cry and You save us. You preserve us and we speak Your praise. (Psalm 145)

Thank You, Sir, for saving each one and for healing our land in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let us exalt our saving God today on behalf of our military men and women and our Nation.

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.

AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission.
