Pray for our American Heroes
May 24, 2014 | Irish Rose

You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil;
with you the wicked cannot dwell.
The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;
you hate all who do wrong.
You destroy those who tell lies;
bloodthirsty and deceitful men
the LORD abhors.

But I, by your great mercy,
will come into your house;
in reverence will I bow down
toward your holy temple.
Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness
because of my enemies –
make straight your way before me.
(Psalm 5:4-8)

Father, we thank You for all that You have so graciously done for us.

Lord, we pray for our troops, home and abroad, that You would show them Your kindness.

Father, we pray for Meriam and her young son, imprisoned in Sudan because of her testimony of You. We ask You to continue to give her courage to stand for You, and to comfort both her and her husband. Please deliver her from prison and from the sentences of flogging and death imposed by the Islamic court; move those who have the power to help her to do so.

LORD, You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil. With You the wicked cannot dwell; the arrogant cannot stand in Your presence. You hate all who do wrong, and You destroy those who tell lies – bloodthirsty and deceitful men the LORD abhors. But we, by Your great mercy, will come into Your house – brought in by the Son, made righteous by His blood. Through Him You have opened the way for us to come into the temple, into the Most Holy Place. Lead us, O LORD, in Your righteousness; make straight Your way before us. Keep us in that sure path that You Yourself have marked out for us, as we look to You, our holy God, and to Your Son Jesus, Amen.

A call to prayer.

We civilians can answer that call, but America's military personnel can't unless their prayers are made to allah, gaya, or some other pagan "god", but definitely NOT to the one true God, aka the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

What would those four WWII chaplains who gave up their life preservers to the men who were on a torpedoed ship that was taking them to the war in Europe think about what is now happening in regard to our current military chaplains? Christian chaplains that is, who are forbidden to pray to or even mention the name Jesus Christ while ministering to the same troops who are putting their very lives at risk in order to preserve what was once our inviolable right to worship God according to our belief in who He is. God's patience with this current anti-Christian US administration is no doubt wearing thin. And He must also be very much grieved by the willingness of the majority of American voters to re-install this Godless, Christ hating, infidel administration even after it's true colors (no pun intended) had been clearly revealed during it's first term.
