We included your entire family in our evening prayer. You all get some rest - she’ll be home, sleeping all day and awake all night before you know it.

54 years ago today at 10:39 p.m., my son was born a few weeks early. Grew up in the 99% intelligence and is the father of 5 from 14 to 30. The lungs are always the main concern. A little 02 and she will be fine.

Congratulations and many blessings for your daughter, redgolum.
Lung issues are common with premies. I had two, and sure enough, both had lung issues. However, modern medicine is just plain miraculous. We pray that your medical team and modern medicine, through the grace of God, pulls your little girl through this situation quickly and fully.

My 33 year old son was born 3-1/2 lbs at 29 weeks. He held my little finger for most of the 25 minute, sirens blazing, traffic stopped ride to the nearest neo-natal unit. His palm was smaller than my little finger nail.
He’ s now 6-1 and 250.
Used to spend 2 hours trying to get him to take 2 oz. of formula. (one of the hurdles he had to get over to leave the ICU)
A little sickly for the first year, but once he learned out how to eat....

34 WEEKS PREGNANT WHAT IS IT LIKE?
Did you know that if your baby is born this week, she would have the almost the same chance of survival as a full term baby? At this stage of the pregnancy, your baby is preparing herself for the birth. She is practicing breathing with the amniotic fluid, and sucking her fingers in preparation for the early days of breast milk.
Except for the lungs, your babys organs are now fully developed. Your baby is still learning how to breathe by inhaling amniotic fluid, which can generate hiccups. The brain and nervous system of your baby are fully formed. You baby continues absorbing antibodies from you to strengthen her immune system.
