Lord, we pray for our troops, that You will give them skill and strength for every task, and that You would establish their work.
Father, we pray for Your mercy on the girls kidnapped in Nigeria. Yield to the pleas of their families, and bring them home. Give wisdom and strength to those who are trying to help, and give courage and comfort to the girls and their families.
Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has set You above Your companions by anointing You with the oil of joy. Gird Your sword upon Your side, O mighty one, and clothe Yourself with splendor and majesty. In Your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness. Let Your right hand display awesome deeds, let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the King’s enemies, and let the nations fall beneath Your feet. Lord Jesus, we await the day when You will put an end to all wickedness, when You will judge every deed done on earth, and we pray for Your justice to be done, in Your Name, Amen.
