I think about all the Catholics in Mass. that voted for this idiot and I can’t help but laugh.

Funnily enough the Bible as an almost 2,000 year old text worked pretty dang fine for over 1950 of those years until these people came along. Are we to throw way almost 2,000 years on the word of this person - I think not!
The truly sad thing about all of this is that he believes his words are profound. But then the ranting of a fool is always wise in his own ears.
I am conservative by temperament. I recall a high school English class, when the teacher didn’t believe me when I said that I respected the opinions and wisdom of my grandfather, which I insisted upon. Just so, I respect the wisdom of e.g. Proverbs. I do have an essentially secular view of the Bible, but in this view, it stands very well on its own.

Well now he’s made it abundantly clear he is on the AntiChrist’s side. People should remember that when its time to vote. John there are lot’s of things here on earth that have been here much longer than 2,000 years that you could’t live without...like say water, oxygen, nitrogen, food, sunlight, etc...so I think your point is moot. Thete is more wisdom in one chapter of Proverbs than there is in the entire House chamber

Amazing And very very disappointing he’d hold such views. But even worse, he goes all the way to Ethiopia to give such advice?! Ethiopia welcomed or was friendly to Jewish and Christian teachings from Biblical times! Anyone remember the queen of Sheba? And the church there has survived and fought off all sorts of Moslem attacks for years. Africa has a number of Christian communities but Ethiopia is just about the oldest and most committed. Mr Kerry is supposed to be a diplomat now. Our chief diplomat. Going 6000 to insult, trash, or criticize a country is hardly diplomatic. And he screwed Israel over pretty badly and needlessly, making up lies when he had no honest insults to hurl at them. And he sure hasn’t helped the messes In either Ukraine or Syria with his statements. It’s so disappointing. I didn’t have to like his politics to hope he would be successful In The job.
I've always thought that the dumbest people are the ones who think that people today are smarter than people who lived in the past.
People today don't even know how to feed themselves. If we didn't have someone handing us a paper bag of food at the drive-thru window, many of us would starve.
