For those who are seeking healing it's important that you know that there is a inside battle that has to be won before there is an outside victory. The battle is won in your spirit before it's won in your flesh. Your spirit has a direct influence on your body. And it's what's in your spirit(on the inside) that will determine what you experience on the outside. That's why Proverbs 4:20-22 says to keep the word of God in your eyes and ears (to keep it in your ears you should be speaking it as well as hearing it) to keep it in the midst of your heart. Why, because it's health (medicine, remedy,cure) to all your flesh. Notice, the word in your spirit works healing in your flesh. The problem comes in when you have something other than the word in your spirit, that's why Proverbs 18:14 says, "The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity." The spirit of a man is important in receiving healing because a sound heart is the life of the flesh (Pro. 14:30).
Your spirit works in the positive as well as the negative in influencing your body. For Proverbs 17:22 says, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." Your spirit will effect your body on the positive side or the negative side. You prosper on the inside before you prosper on the outside. You prosper on the outside in direct relation to how well you prosper on the inside (3John 2). No one has as much influence on your flesh than you do. Notice, in Mark 6:5,6 it says that Jesus could not do any mighty work because of their unbelief and Jesus went round about teaching. Notice, because the word was not in them they did not receive, so Jesus went round about teaching (putting the word in them). If you notice when two blind men came to Jesus asking him to heal them the first thing Jesus asked them was, "Believe ye that I am able to do this?" Notice, he made reference to what they had in there spirit and he said, "Acccording to your faith be it unto you." Another way of saying that is, on the inside so be it done on the outside. That's on the positive, but remember it also works on the negative for we see in the life of Job when he was afflicted in his flesh he said, "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me." As on the inside so it was on the outside.
Now, the question might be how do I know what is on the inside of me. That's easy for the Bible tells you how to know, "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh." Notice in that same verse of Matthew 12:34 Jesus says, "O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things?" Notice, what you say is an indication of what is in you. And according to what you allow to come out of you, you will bring forth either healing or more sickness. Matthew 12:35 says, "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart(spirit) bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things." So, when the word is in you then at some point it will come out of you and produce on the outside what you have deposited on the inside. So, again it's the inside that determines your outside.
