The message is one of Divine Mercy, but this year the Jesus canvas erected at Daley Plaza has prompted an angry response. Someone has vandalized the display.
The vandalism happened sometime overnight. The 15-foot tall canvas display of Jesus had been pierced numerous times and the plexiglass coverings on the four information panels around it had been smashed.

Vandalism from those who probably hate Christ and his message; or believe in a society that is free from any exposure to religion in general, but Christianity and Judaism in specific.

I don’t know how thick the Plexiglas was or if it was really Plexiglas. But if it was, that was some very deep seated emotional violence. I hope the act was caught on camera.
