Thanks! I just looked up St. Rafaela Maria Porras y Ayllon. She started an order in Madrid, Spain, and a girls school. That's the school I attended! Way back then she was only beatified, but I remember a life-size painting of her as you walked in the school, and the nuns telling us stories about her. I never found out, until now, if she had been declared a saint.

Of course, in the New Testament, all believers were called saints: Acts 9:13, 32; 26:10; Phil. 4:21; Ro. 16:2; Eph. 4:12; 5:3; 1 Cor. 1:2... But I enjoyed reading about Mother Rafaela!

One of the deacons at a vicariate church where I live is also very interested in St. Rafaela Maria Porras y Ayllom.

Did you attend school in Spain or here in the United States?
