You are unaware of the prevalence of the occult in Russian society, even to the highest levels. Guys like Aleksandr Dugin, who have links to Putin and appear on state run television, have also advocated Aleister Crowley as well as bizzare and nazi like racial theories. High level politicians in Russia think it important to educate young Russians that they are the true heirs of the Aryan tribe. Young conscripts in the Russian army are raped by their officers as part of their hazing, and this is protected by the regime. Innocent people who resist the Kremlin are routinely murdered. Meanwhile, the ROC is totally under the control of informants and confirmed members of one of the most murderous and deceptive organizations in history, and the soviet structure they were a part of has yet to be dismantled.

I know this much about Russia, they're not the ones feeding, training, and arming, the Satanic Mooze Lame Scum, who are butchering Christians in Syria for their Moon God. The US government is.
Let me know when that situation is reversed and I'll reconsider my view on whether it's the US or Russia that's in more need of a "Come to Jesus" moment.

Russia isn't perfect. Nobody is claiming it is. One doesn't make the transition from an officially atheistic communist monolith to a cultured, religious civilization overnight. However, Russia is indeed moving in that direction but it will take time. In life, the most important thing is not so much where one is at any given time but rather the overall direction in which one is moving. That's true for countries and it's also true for each one of us as individuals. In which direction are we heading? Russia is moving out of darkness and into the light.
This country, on the other hand, is moving in exactly the opposite direction. A profound darkness envelops this country with every passing day.
Russia is historically a centuries old Christian civilization which plunged into a 75 year nightmare of state atheism. It is now emerging from that disaster and attempting to rediscover its past. There are certainly scars visible and there will be for some time but its transition from the world's largest persecutor of organized religion to its main international defender, at least as far as Christianity is concerned, is quite remarkable.
There is of course, a very clear lesson for the US and western Europe in Russia's 20th century fall into the atheistic abyss.
