Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
In This Beautiful Passage, The Bridegroom describes his delight in his Bride. He Compares her to the most Beautiful and Fragrant of the Trees and Flowers of God's Creation. The Rose, the Lily, the Spikenard, The "Incense Tree'(Probably Frankincense?), Myrrh, and the healing Aloe. Spikenard was the ointment that was used to anoint Jesus' feet. Frankincense was used in the Holy Temple and symbolized Deity. Myrrh was used to anoint the dead and symbolized mortality. Roses and Lilies symbolized Beauty and Love.
Jewish Scholars interpret this Love Poem as indicative of the love of God For His People, and Christian Scholars see this as pertaining to the Bride of Christ. In both Interpretations, the Holiness of Marriage and Love between a Man and a Woman is celebrated.
Come and Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen
