The LORD will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim, he will rouse himself as in the Valley of Gibeon— to do his work, his strange work, and perform his task, his alien task. (Isaiah 28:21)

Father God, we thank You for the season of spring, with all the pleasure it gives us to see the flowers blooming and the grass turning to green, to feel warm weather again after months of cold.

Lord, we say a prayer for our troops and their families, that You would strengthen and encourage them for the path they have to walk. Let them find their peace in You.

LORD, You are so often a mystery to us. You rise up to do Your work, Your strange work; You rouse Yourself and perform Your task, Your alien task. All that You have done, from beginning to end, is more than we can understand. Your purposes and Your means are too many for us to know. But You have told us who You are: the LORD, gracious, righteous, holy, just, merciful, mighty, and loving – the everlasting God. You have been a servant as well as a King, our Passover Lamb as well as our Shepherd, the Son of God and the Son of Man. When You are a mystery to us, give us faith to believe that You are good, and help us to trust You, in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
