1 Who has believed our message
    and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
    and like a root out of dry ground.

We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA. ,

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

When Isaiah penned these words, Israel was facing defeat, destruction, exile, and despair. The House of David had long been abandoned for a series of awful kings and queens who worshiped idols and encouraged the People to do the same. Every once in a while, a decent king would emerge and try to fix things, but after his reign, it would all go down the drain again. The Nation itself had split along tribal lines and was now TWO countries, Israel and Judah. It had become "Parched Ground".

Isaiah speaks of a tender shoot growing up before us out of parched and arid ground. In an earlier Prophecy, he identifies this tender shoot as "rising out of the Stump of Jesse", thus identifying the shoot as being of the House of David. Now, he speaks of New Life coming through the Line of David to restore all things. If You read further in this Passage, you will see what suffering the "Tender Shoot" must endure.
