Traditional Catholics such as myself and many others here are the same as they always were, by definition. In addition, this is an Argentinian aberration (some may argue the pope is as well — I haven’t made up my mind).

Agreed, of course! Just ironic. I am not Catholic myself, but most of the finest people I know, with excellent values and wonderful families and professional lives to prove it, are Catholics.
