There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NIV)

(When one of my former workers commented about the profound lyrics of this Byrds song by the late Pete Seeger ,
I surprised him by showing that these words came from King Solomon, right out of the Bible.)------------------------------ Heavenly Father
We thank you for the picture of Spring, which gives hope during a harsh, cold of winter, when life seems to have perished. But Spring eventually comes and brings forth a rebirth a life, seemingly from death - a picture of a time when You will make all things new again and raise us from the dead.
Teach us, Lord, to adjust to the changing seasons according to Your plan. Likewise, give us patience during the seasons when nothing seems to happen, but You are still at work.
May Your Spirit work in the hearts of believers in our nation to bring forth fruit. May in due season there is a revival and another Great Awakening.
We ask for divine protection of our heroes, home and abroad, who give some stability in a chaotic work and enable the Gospel to be spread. Bless all these brave men and women in your special care.
In Jesus Name we pray,
Amen
-----------
Give thanks to the LORD,
for he is good;
his love endures forever.
Psalm 118:1 (NIV)
