You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Matt. 5:43-48)

Simple.
I pray that he found God before he passed and I move on.

I feel the same way about him as I do people who had much to give, but wasted it on self destructiveness and self hate. They had their chance at so much and now decided to end up as what they are now remembered for. Right now, whatever chance they have for redemption is lost.

I’d say Fred, I hope you are not lost to G-d, and I hope you are soon forgotten on Earth. May you rest in peace and may the humanity rest more peacefully without you.

Why is his death tragic? He was 84; it was his time. What he did with his life was tragic.

Nobodys death should be celebrated, not even a person as vile as Fred Phelps. That which is Life and gives life, whatever you name choose to use, chose to give the world Fred Phelps, for some reason, one which I admit I dont understand and Im sure most people dont.
Nevertheless, he was a human being with a family and they are (mostly) grieving. As hateful a lot as the Westboro group is, rejoicing at anyones death is unseemly and inhuman.

Phelps and his family are false flags acting to demonize Christians. The Soviets created false flags all too often. See the Verona papers
I’m sure they have some Swiss bank account being financed by Leftists.

Rejoicing in the death of someone who may have fallen short of Heaven does not come from God.
Anyone rejoicing needs to think long and hard about where that “joy” is actually coming from.
Prayers for the repose of his soul, for those who loved him, and for the conversion of non-believers.

Fred Phelps was a Leftist. He was an agent provocateur and a useful idiot.

Would the
Doxology be inappropriate at this time?
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise him, all creatures here below;
Praise him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

He was an attention ho, pure and simple. Why give him in death what he didn’t deserve in life? Let apathetic ignominy be his earthly fate.

*Tragic* death?
Isn’t every death *tragic*?
Or if not, then why is his?
What makes his more tragic than someone else’s?
How ‘bout we just ignore it?
