Our dear military men and women, our legislators and Nation are ever in our hearts. With Your Word, we battle to turn the care of these things over to You, knowing You love us and care for us. Today, we place these under the authority of Your Word and the confidence in the fruitfulness of the prayers You Yourself have given us.
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, Who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well-founded hope through [His] grace (unmerited favor), Comfort and encourage your hearts and strengthen them [make them steadfast and keep them unswerving] in every good work and word.”
For them all, we bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant them, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith; that being rooted and grounded in love, they may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that they may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Not in our own righteousness, but by Your grace alone.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
