I’d think Laotians would view Christianity as French. I am surprised they were allowed to practice it at all (with the communist government and all).

Just took a while to root out and eliminate the 'old timers', now they have accomplished that (for the most part) and indoctrinated the 'young' to their beliefs, the rest is easy.

Discouraging youngsters as far as Religion and push 'alternate' life styles on them..
