Suppose the question had been put to Dolan like this: Michael Sam, from your home state, the football player, revealed that he was a thief and a murderer, first in the NFL, David Gregory said... How did you view it? To be intellectually (and thus theologically) consistent Dolan would have to answer Gregory like so: Good for him. I would have no sense of judgment on him. God bless ya. I dont think, look, the same Bible that tells us, that teaches us, well about the virtue of generosity and the virtue of kindness and charity also tells us not to judge people. So I would say, Bravo." Folks, does this help you see the fallacy in his position?

Sprinkle a few of < > these around with a lowercase 'p' between 'em. Anywhere will do.
For the record, I read the article and appreciate you posting it.

A little difficult to read.

Well argued. Seems the pope and Bravo Dolan also forgot about the Spiritual Works of Mercy: Counsel the Wicked. Protestants may be as loath to accept this as some are to accepting “whose sins ye shall forgive . . ..” But I think most are familiar with at least the notion of fire-and-brimstone preachers, and I doubt those fiery sermons focus on judge-not-lest-ye-be-judged (unless the congregation’s afflicted with a malignant gossip-gene). What’s the purpose of a shepherd or a preacher if he’s not leading his flock AWAY from behavior that can and must be judged in accordance with scripture and tradition?

Thanks for posting this, "Repent and Believe", and thanks for reformatting it "missnry"!
:-) If a prelate like Bravo-Addled-Doofus-Dolan (BADD) affirms and espouses the acceptance of mortally sinful and soul-endangering behaviors which are obviously contrary to the sacred and solemn teachings and doctrines of God, through the Catholic Church, what on earth does it take for them to be removed from their office, which they have publicly disgraced?
