“Do the Baptists, Catholics, and ANYONE else (besides Scientologists) have a MONITOR at the door to see if you can WORTHILY enter??”
I fail to see why that is wrong, if a church decides to do so. When we have church business meetings, for example, the public is not allowed. A woman in a bikini would not be allowed in our services, nor a nude man. Someone wearing an obscene T-shirt would not be allowed to join the worship, although they would be offered something to cover the T-shirt.
Maybe you are a part of a church where anyone can do anything, but most congregations DO reserve the right to refuse entry based on their beliefs about right & wrong. A church, at least in America, is not a government office.
I get that.
No one said the 'church' could NOT do that!!!
This is a TAX question about property.
Our church has a house that our pastor used to live in.
We were not REQUIRED to pay property taxes on it when he lived there.
Now we rent it out; and we DO pay the appropriate tax.
It’s not Biblical. The curtain was torn from top to bottom at the crucifixion, to open the temples - no more secrets.
