I believe that the good father is talking about demonic POSESSION and that he is not naive. I’m sure he absolutely knows and realizes that Satan and his demons are working overtime in the LGBT community. Catholic clergy are all too aware of demonic “influence”. The world is full of sin and evil. So we don’t take it lightly.

In this instance, I believe he is asking whether “demonic possession” is involved; which can only be delivered, at least biblically speaking, through exorcism. Every satanic cult, whether it be Satan worshippers, the LGBT, or whatever, will have unbelievable powers of deceit, cunning, and influence, when the group is lead by someone “possessed”. But they always show their true colors sooner or later.

A modern mind generally does not understand that “discrimination” is what we do every day, and it is a good thing.

I remember I was invited to a high school once to talk about the collapse of the Soviet Union. Intending to get to the core of totalitarianism I gave the kids an example: “How about the principal should gather the red-heads and take their lunch money because they have red hair. Would that be good?” —”No!” “Why?” — I pressed. In a chorus, they responded: “Because that would be discrimination!”.

In other words, robbery is bad not because it is robbery but because it is discrimination.

On the mild end, the same type of behavior seen in children. Demands, tantrums and a refusal to accept it. On the more extreme end, physical violence/property destruction/self abuse.
