The Iranian regimes Press TV accused Saudi Arabia and Israel of planning to replace the al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount with a Jewish temple.

Press TV reported, via Religion of Peace:
Saudi Arabia is supporting the Israeli regime in its plan to replace the holy al-Aqsa Mosque with a temple, an analyst tells Press TV in an interview.
Saab Shaath was talking to Press TV on Saturday, one day after Israeli Minister of Housing and Construction Uri Ariel called for the construction of what he called the Third Temple to replace the holy site.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is currently in place of the temple, Ariel claimed.
Shaath said Saudi Arabia has always provided support for the Zionist regimes anti-Palestinian moves and offered under-the-table support for Israel in their alliance against Syria.
The only thing, which will stop the Israelis from going that far, is the Arab-Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and in Lebanon, he said.
Shaath said Israel intends to secure as much as they can from territories in the West Bank.
And they will go as far as the destruction of the existing al-Aqsa Mosque since now they see the Arabic masses got used to the desecration of religious sites as we notice in Syria by the Takfiri groups and the Arab masses have been shut enough to keep it quiet, thats what they believe, he added.
Whats worse than this complete anti-Jew, anti-Saudi propaganda piece are the hateful ignorant comments at the bottom of the post.
Oh, yeahhhhh, this new Iranian government is a bunch of moderates. Riiiight.
Uri Ariel did call for rebuilding the Third Temple, sometime last summer. I question the timing of the Iranian “report” immediately following PM Netanyahu’s suggestion that Israeli settlers should be allowed to remain in the future Palestinian state if they so desire. Both Ariel, and Naphtali Bennet who has threatened to leave the coalition government, belong to the same party, Habayit Hayehudi.
What a Shiite head....
Reads like the Islamist equivalent of “you throw like a girl” insult.
Why is the mosque built on what was a revered Jewish site? Why was it necessary for the muslims to build on what was the temple site? It sounds like a religious jealousy. Otherwise, why wouldn’t it be built on some other site which meant something to the muslims? It kinda sounds phony. Why on the site of what the Jewish people consider the base of their beliefs? It’s kinda like the way dogs mark their territory by peeing on it.
