If you've never heard of mass-revelation (it's not a realization of having gained weight nor an encounter with a creep in the old Combat Zone in Boston...)
Rabbi Kelemen's concise class on why Jews not only believe in G-d's revelation at Sinai, but why we KNOW this to be fact.
It’s Torah, not The Torah.
For the sake of pedantry, one could translate it fully into English and call it “The Law”.
Do you know what Torah is?
Because nobody lying would show all the bumps and frailties of all of our forefathers. The Torah is filled with problems of human nature that often still occur today.
It was rendered in the Greek texts as “nomos”.

I had a question but found the answer behind the following quoted text and link. Thank you for the good and interesting post (as was another recent post).

Honestly, I do not know what Torah is. I’ve heard of it of course, but I confess I do not actually know what it is, other than a book, I think.
(The) Torah is the Five Books of Moses, The Pentateuch. Genesis through Deuteronomy.
This is the one. Thanks again.

Ping.
Interesting?
Moses wrote it, or rather took dictation from God and wrote all down.
Many, though not all people who call themselves Christians, believe these books are God-breathed and true and for our edification and education, even though we are not Jews, as they teach us about our own history and are instructions to us from God.
Of course Christians must know Torah. How else do we learn the perfect standard Jesus Christ (Yeshua HaMashiach) lived and taught, which reveals we are sinners and need of His spotless sacrifice. When Peter said we must walk in Jesus foot prints, he was referring to God’s standards. We find those standards not only in the NT but as Christ said:
Luke 24:44-49 NASB
Now He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Interesting -
Christianity was invented by Saint Paul.
God personally addressed three million in the desert at Mount Sinai.
(book, chapter, verse?)
Numbers1:44-46 These are the numbers of those registered by Moses and Aaron, registered with the help of the leaders of Israel, twelve men, each representing his ancestral family. The sum total of the People of Israel twenty years old and over who were able to fight in the army, counted by ancestral family, was 603,550.
47-51 The Levites, however, were not counted by their ancestral family along with the others. God had told Moses, The tribe of Levi is an exception: Dont register them. Dont count the tribe of Levi; dont include them in the general census of the People of Israel...
Exodus 20 is quite explicitly addressed and presented by God to the whole group until the whole says “please speak to us through Moses.” My memory isn’t good enough and I’m too lazy to give you verses right now, but read very closely at the beginning (possibly the end of 19) and around verse 22.
If you have a ping list that deals with things like this post and your post “the Bible is Wrong”, would you mind adding this gentile to it?
Christianity invented by the Jewish Pharisee known as Paul converted to follow the Way of Jesus that Rabbi From Nazareth as Saul of Tarsus was on his way to persecute the followers of Christ. While the followers of Christ were first called Christians at Antioch and there is association with Paul’s teaching it seems a stretch to claim Paul invented Christianity.
