I'm not sure what Dickens has to do with any of this, but it looks like you have anointed yourself the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future all in one. I don't know how God was able to manage all this before you arrived on the scene.

As for suggestions, I suggest that you press in and ask God to reveal to you what you are responsible for and what He is responsible for. Then let Jesus in your heart to show you how He would handle the Samaritan 'problem'.

So while you are dwelling on what Dickens wrote, I will be contemplating how Jesus lived and His instruction for us, especially at this time when we acknowledge the fulfillment of God's promise to us.

Oh, sure...you could put down any servant of God in the entire history of the church with this comment. (So, hey, ya better keep it handy on file for future usage)

But, hey, I'm just a servant...so "putdowns" don't place me any lower than I already am.

As for suggestions, I suggest that you press in and ask God to reveal to you what you are responsible for and what He is responsible for.

Well, not sure what "privyness" you might have to my prayer life, but hey, I'm always open for suggestions...even when they reiterate a current pathway already afoot. Besides, Ephesians 3:12 indicates as much: "12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence."

As far as what we're responsible for, it's not like God has remained silent in letting the ENTIRE Church know those purposes.

Some of them include:

(the two verses before Eph. 3:12):
* His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, 11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Eph. 3:10-11)

* Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. (Jude 3)

* 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Cor. 10:4-5)

(Not exactly sure where you were apparently able to garner an exemption from including these directives within your Christian life)

I can’t help but to notice that you ignored my question. I guess it’s safe to say that your a relativist, much like the liberals, and don’t care about the eternal state of lost?

Do you believe that the LDS is a legitimate church and that those who believe in its tenets are saved, and are equal in every way to any Christian church that upholds the Trinity and other fundamental doctrines?

So while you are dwelling on what Dickens wrote...

Actually, that's why I suggested that your consistent self engage in...

Remember, (gotta loop you back to your original objection) the "issue" you had again was the "timing" of this thread.

Since you have timing objections with what others write, why stop with me? You wouldn't want to simply raise random objections that don't only apply to me without following thru on them, do you?

You can focus on Dickens' work next...
