(Vatican Radio) At the end of his General Audience on Wednesday, Pope Francis called on everyone to pray for a group of nuns taken by force from the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Saint Tecla in the ancient Christian town of Ma’lula in Syria. “Now I would like to invite everyone to pray for the religious sisters of the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Saint Tecla in Ma’lula, in Syria, who, two days ago, were taken away by force by armed men,” he said. “Let us pray for these sisters, and for all those who have been kidnapped on account of the on-going conflict. Let us continue to pray and to work for peace.” The Holy Father concluded his appeal with a call to have confidence in Mary, leading the faithful in praying the Hail Mary, and invoking the Blessed Mother as “Queen of Peace.” The sisters were forcibly “evacuated” from their convent on Monday, when Ma’lula was overrun by Muslim rebels after three days of fighting. The nuns and several other women were taken to the nearby rebel-held town of Yabroud, which also has a large Christian population.

It would be nice if he would focus his attention 24/7 on these nuns and get the whole world watching to see what animals the diaper-heads are

Perhaps those two great Catholic statesmen Joe Biden and John Kerry will resolve the crisis.

Kerry isn’t Catholic any more than he is Irish.

The pope should be calling for Christian volunteers and arming them to protect these Christian cities.

It’s time for a new Crusade, with the only rules of engagement to kill anything and anyone that is harming Christians.

THe Obama Administration Condemns ‘Enemies Of Islam’

The Obama Administration has issued a statement condemning attacks on Muslims in the Middle East:

The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms the cowardly attacks... in Baghdad. These attacks were aimed at families celebrating the Eid al-Fitr holiday that marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The terrorists who committed these acts are enemies of Islam and a shared enemy of the United States, Iraq, and the international community.

The Administration had no comment on Muslim attacks against Christians.

MEGYN KELLY’S ANT-ISLAMIC GUEST SAYS OBAMA IGNORES MUSLIM ‘WAR ON CHRISTIANS’

OCTOBER 25, 2013

http://www.newshounds.us/20131025_megyn_kelly_s_anti_islamic_guest_says_obama_ignores_muslim_war_on_christians

In addition to providing sanctuary for legions of persecuted American Christians, Fox News has expanded its role as defender of the faith to Christians worldwide. In the spirit of medieval popes, who called for Catholics to kick some serious Muslim ass, Fox News appears to be calling on President Obama to intervene on behalf of Christians in Muslim countries.

ON Tuesday, Megyn Kelly pushed this meme with Brooke Goldstein, a “human rights advocate” and attorney with the Lawfare Project, who, along with Islamophhobic types like David Horowitz, believes that Huma Abedin is connected to Islamic terror. Because of this bogus connection, Anthony Weiner, according to Goldstein, is no longer attracted to Abedin and that’s why he got involved in internet mischief.

But Goldstein is concerned about how Christians and other minorities are treated in the Muslim world and that’s why Megyn Kelly treated her so well in a Fox propaganda triple play - persecuted Christians are showcased, Islam is, once again, “bashed with impunity,” and Pres. Obama is smeared. Sweet...

Kelly, her voice full of emotion, reported that several senators are demanding that the “administration take action on what one senator [Rand Paul] calls the world wide war on Christians.” She cited a “horrifying” attack on Christians, at a wedding, in Cairo. She also didn’t mention that according to The Guardian, “the perpetrators, and their motives, are unknown.” She introduced Goldstein whose organization is “devoted to combating abusive pervasions of legal systems.” (Huh?)

Goldstein commended Paul and spoke of the persecution of “...all minorities in the Muslim world.” She whined that “brave” people who speak out about this issue are labeled as Islamophobes. She launched into an anti-Obama screed with comments about how the Obama administration “is quicker to condemn criticism of Islam...than he is to call out Islamist terrorism for what it is.”

She made the unsubstantiated and laughable claim that the Obama administration “has a worldview that Islamist terrorism doesn’t exist.” (So those drones are just dropping candy in Islamic terrorist areas?) She claimed that words like “Islam” and “jihad” have been “purged from counterterrorism training manuals” because of “all out denial” relating to “the genocide of Christians.”

Kelly’s counterpoint, that the administration is trying to establish a “kinder, gentler relationship” with the Islamic world only served to generate more anti-Obama comments from Goldstein who accused the administration of “propping up” and “coddling” the Muslim brotherhood.

She claimed that, during a speech, the president “parroted” words from the Muslim Brotherhood about how “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”

Of course she didn’t add that Obama followed up these words, given before the UN, with “but to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see in the images of Jesus Christ that are desecrated, or churches that are destroyed, or the Holocaust that is denied.”

Egyptian Christian leaders has criticized President Obama and his administration for ignoring the persecution of Christians at the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Tanzanian Christians are under tremendous persecution on both the mainland Tanzania and the island of Zanzibar from Islamists, while Obama keeps silent.

Christians in the Mideast simply do not trust Obama and look to Putin and Russia for protection.

I’ll be surprised if Putin takes any interest in this.

“The pope should be calling for Christian volunteers and arming them to protect these Christian cities.”

You missed the whole lessons learned thing about WW1, WW2, Cold War and every pope during and since....and likely what these nuns would want.

Pray and fast and for God’s Greater Glory,, His Will be done.

God willed the Crusades.

How do we know what he wills?

perhaps he wants us to fight for Christians against heathens.

Prayer for Peace in Syria

God of Compassion,
Hear the cries of the people of Syria,
Bring healing to those suffering from the violence,
Bring comfort to those mourning the dead,
Strengthen Syria’s neighbors in their care and welcome for refugees,
Convert the hearts of those who have taken up arms,
And protect those committed to peace.

God of Hope,
Inspire leaders to choose peace over violence and to seek reconciliation with enemies,
Inspire the Church around the world with compassion for the people of Syria,
And give us hope for a future of peace built on justice for all.

We ask this through Jesus Christ,
Prince of Peace and Light of the World,
Amen.

Petition: For the people of Syria, that God may strengthen the resolve of leaders to end the fighting and choose a future of peace.
