Today was the Feast of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary....therefore a BLUE vestment, as feats days of Mary are always in blue.

Blue trim, maybe, but all-blue vestments aren’t allowed in the Latin Rite except in Spain, where they have an indult (special permission) to use them.

There are no blue vestments allowed. Blue is not a liturgical color. All vestments for Marian feasts are always white. Pass it on to your priest and ask him to put the blue vestments in storage.

Colors of the Liturgical Year

 Green - Ordinary Time

Violet - Advent & Lent, Mass for Life, Funerals (optional)

Red - Passion, Holy Spirit, Martyrs, Pentecost, Confirmation

White - Easter & Christmas, Feasts of Our Lord & non-martyrs, Funerals (opt.) (o

Rose - 3rd Sunday of Advent and 4th Sunday of Lent (optional)

Black - Funerals (optional) Masses for the Dead and All Souls (optional)
