The old missal has some OT readings, and most of the propers of the Mass (which are sung) are from the OT.

The “old mass”made copious use of the Psalms. I must say that when this was translated into English. I must say that while the old High Mass or even the Missa Contata when sung was a thing of beauty, but the Low Mass pretty much left the congregation in the dark, even with those who used a missal.
