German priest to be tried for child abuse [South Africa]

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has released a German Catholic priest, wanted for child abuse by Germany, on bail but will put him on trial in November for committing similar acts in the country, sources said Friday.

The priest, whose identity was not given but who was said to be in his fifties and from Aachen in western Germany, was arrested on September 13 as he left a court in the northern town of Brits where he was standing trial for assault and acts of indecency.

The acts of indecency were allegedly committed in 2008 on four boys then aged nine and 10, some of German origin, who attended a German-language Catholic youth camp near Johannesburg.I guess the Catholic Church didn't purge pedophiles back in the 80s as some claim. This is not homosexual activity with a teenager. This is undeniable pedophilia.

And if it were a Methodist minister it never would bave made the news. Oh that’s right, no Methodist ministers molest.

Nice try. The epidemic of child molestation by Catholic priests is unequaled among clergy of any other Christian denomination. You can run from the truth, but can't hide from it.

For every puff piece posted by FReepers about Pope Frank and how wonderful Catholicism is, I'll post an article about the continuing evil of real priests committing real acts of perversion on children and reaping their just compensation. Sadly, there is no lack of these stories.

If the ones you are posting are the only ones happening, then things are much better. There will always be cases like this, fallen human nature. Anecdotal, but I know someone molested by a Methodist minister and another by a Boy Scout leader. None by a Catholic priest.
