Russia Will Defend National Identity, Based on Religious Values - Putin
Interfax ^ | 9/20/13

Valdai, Russia, September 20, Interfax - People will lose their human dignity without values enshrined in Christianity and other world religions, without moral standards that have taken millennia to take shape, President Vladimir Putin.

"We believe that it is natural and appropriate to defend those values. Any minority deserves respect for its distinctive identity, but the rights of the majority must not be questioned," Putin said during a meeting of the Valdai discussion club.

He believes, that Russia can't move forward without cultural and national self-determination. Otherwise the country won't be able to respond to external or internal challenges, can't be successful in global competition.

"Events that take place in the world represent one more serious challenge to the Russian identity. There are foreign policy and moral aspects to this. We have been able to see many Euro-Atlantic countries effectively embark on a path of renouncing their roots, including Christian values, which underlie Western civilization," Putin said.

"That involves the negation of moral principles and any traditional identity - national, cultural, religious, or even sexual," he said.

"Policies are pursued that put large families and same-sex partnerships in the same category, belief in God and belief in Satan. Excesses of political correctness reach the point where there are serious discussions on the registration of parties that have propaganda of pedophilia as their objective. People in many European countries are ashamed and afraid of speaking about their religion, holidays are abolished or given other names, names that shyly conceal the nature of those holidays, and aggressive attempts are made to force this model on the rest of the world," Putin said.

"This is a direct path to degradation and primitiveness, to deep demographic and moral crises," he said.

"What can be a better indication of a moral crisis in human society than its loss of the ability for self-reproduction?" Putin said.

What’s up with Putin sounding like the pope? Is this sincere, or just some sort of strategy for his own ends?

He sounds more like a pope than the excuse for a pope we currently have.

“Is this sincere, or just some sort of strategy for his own ends?”

The two are not necessarily contradictory.

History seems to be sliding towards some kind of dystopian sci-fi senario, where the whole 20th-Century cold war is farcically reversed... Russia and Putin standing up for values and Christianity, while America decays into some kind of degenerate Homo-America, wallowing in evil. Statism and one-party tyranny, with the backdrop of a twerking Miley Cyrus and her hyperkinetic lizard-tongue. All while Russia (of all places) becomes the last hope of preserving Western civilization. Surreal.

Being a politician, he will have his own ends in mind. On the other hand, he loves his country and people and knows what it takes to make them strong — unlike the president and other politicians we are stuck with here.

KGB thug Putin consistently equates Christian values with the values of Islam. Putin said Russia is Islam's best friend in the world.

Putin is a pragmatist. Restoration of religion maintained his country’s structural integrity during difficult transitions, and they’re not out of the woods yet.

A tool ready to hand and he uses it. Efficacy, not inspiration, may be opening his eyes. I think he is a very calculating man.

I am not much of a Bible scholar, but I think that one of the recurring themes of the Old Testament is that when Israel forsake its God for the fertility and orgiastic gods of their neighbors, Israel fell into captivity. This seems to be happening anew, with Israel/Christianity going over to the gods of hedonism and facing the encroachment of totalitarian statism and/or possible dominance by Islam. Western Europe is already very far down that road, perhaps irretrievably so, and we seem to be doing our best to catch up.

Russian Youth Group Encourages "More Sex" to Save Motherland from Dwindling Population

By John Jalsevac

MOSCOW, Russia, July 30, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A Russian nationalist youth group is encouraging youth to have more sex in an effort to combat the nation's devastating demographic crisis, reports the Daily Mail.

In a lengthy special report the Daily Mail documents the activities of the Nashi youth movement, which is sponsoring a summer camp attended by some 10,000 Russian youth this summer. Not only are Nashi organizers encouraging the youth to have more sex, but they have designated a special area at the dormitories, the Love Oasis, for young men and women to engage in sexual intercourse. According to the Mail, condoms are unavailable in the camp.

"They [The pre-historic mammoths] became extinct because they did not have enough sex. That must not happen to Russia," said a Nashi organizer to a group of assembled campers.

The nationalistic camp involves two weeks of lectures, reported by some Western sources as being little more than anti-Western "propaganda," as well as a strenuous regimen of physical exercise. Numerous young couples have also been married at the camp, with 25 couples being married at the beginning of the first week, and ten to be married at the beginning of the second.

While many people, especially in the West, are finding in the Kremlin-initiated, and Kremlin-loyal Nashi youth group a disturbing image of similar groups started up in Nazi-era Germany, the camp's approach to sex is further evidence that the Russian government is not unaware that a demographic crisis is leading the entire Russian nation towards an early grave.

Russia's President Wants to Turn Around Population Decline

James Brooke | Moscow30 November 2010

Russia's president devoted the largest part of his annual State of Russia speech to reversing Russia's population decline.

If Russian couples have a third child, they will get a baby bonus, better health care, and free land to build a house or dacha, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev promised in his annual State of Russia speech.

Political analysts were hoping to hear about missiles or democracy. Instead they got babies.

[...]

What he did not say is that Russia compensates for its aging workforce by importing about 10 million laborers a year from Central Asia. After the United States, Russia is now the second-largest importer of workers. This influx of overwhelmingly Muslim workers creates tensions in Russia, where the population is largely Orthodox Christian.

LETTER FROM MOSCOW

The war in Georgia has provoked unprecedented levels of patriosm in Russia. The majority of the population supported their army's actions in the Caucasus. And even the fiercest critics of the Kremlin have now become proud Russians.

Members of the Kremlin-loyal youth organisation "Nashi" wave flags and hold a banner during a protest in front of the US embassy in Moscow during the Georgia war.

Ruthless Russia
American Thinker ^ | June 16, 2007 | Peter B. Martin
Excerpt:
Putin has created a very sophisticated youth movement made up of over 100,000 volunteers called "Nashi", much like a clone of the Nazi youth movement. It is a well-equipped, fanatical, nationalistic private army that is hostile to foreigners and to any political group opposing the Kremlin leadership. Their aggressive behavior is not only tolerated by the authorities but also even encouraged. They help re-enforce local police; wearing black attire, they aggressively beat anyone they consider hooligans or insurrectionist.

They have been taught to believe that the United States is actively preparing a pro-western revolution in their country and that they will thwart it. They have developed high-level recruiting and training camps right across the expanse of Russia. Not only are they schooled in a variety of military issues, they also have orientation courses in such esoteric subjects as gestalt therapy, to help them to survive under extreme conditions.
